Drawing from this multidisciplinary background, Camacho integrates manmade structures into his compositions of lush Costa Rican landscapes, enriching the country’s watercolour tradition. Orilla, 2021, Watercolour on paper Camacho skillfully manipulates strong contrasts of light, shadow and spatial relationships, infusing his architectural elements with depth and personality. Through expressive brushstrokes that sometimes delve into abstraction, Camacho captures fleeting moments of Costa Rica, transcending mere representation. The paintings for sale on MÍRAME showcase this approach to painting, whether he's captured manmade structures he comes across, a particular moment of sunlight or the expanse of Costa Rica's oceans. His structures take centre stage as he brings them to life with an injection of personality, evoking human presence and lived experiences. Whether he paints houses, agricultural buildings or the ocean, Camacho captures explores the interconnectedness between human worlds and the landscapes we occupy.
