On Thursday 22nd, deCERCA Nosara opens a solo exhibition by Rafael Chamorro (San José, 1980), presenting a selection of works that trace the evolution of his practice over time. Titled Leer la Mano, the exhibition brings together pieces from various periods, drawing subtle links between material, movement, and interpretation. Chamorro moves with precision between the tactile and the conceptual, offering a body of work that feels at once instinctive and carefully constructed. The exhibition opens Thursday evening at Sendero Hotel in Nosara. Don't miss it! Patrick Hüttlinger, Go Beyond: Interactions with Delight, Gallery of Nosara Art, Guiones, Guanacaste. On until 27 May. At the Gallery of Nosara Art, artist Patrick Huttlinger presents a new exhibition opening 10 May that explores the visual language of sacred geometry and symbolism. Through intricate patterns and spiritual motifs, Huttlinger works to transcend dogma into a shared, unifying field of perception. The show is staged in partnership with Costas Verdes, with a portion of proceeds supporting coastal reforestation efforts in Costa Rica. "If We Had Met" by Ivanna Yujimets marks the first sample show of the year at the not-for-profit independent art space abra.espacio. The show is a great opportunity to get to know Yujimets' practice, which reimagines well-known fictional and pop culture figures, reshaping their meanings to reflect personal and emotional themes. Her work moves between fantasy and reality, creating connections that reveal deeper complexities upon closer observation. The upcoming exhibition "Sumersión" at the Cultural Center of Spain in the Escalante neighbourhood explores water as a contested territory—highlighting access, inequality, and environmental crisis. Five artists, including Karla Herencia, Laura Cruz, Lorena Villalobos, Lucía Madriz, and Maga González, bring diverse perspectives through transdisciplinary art, movement, sound, and ecological illustration. Curated by Iris Lam Chen, the show delves into water’s symbolic, material, and political dimensions. Camila Capra’s deCERCA exhibition examines the home as an emotional archive and a site of transformation. Using clay as her primary medium, she explores how everyday objects transcend function, becoming vessels for memory and human experience.
