Helicoide, Alonso Durán’s serigraph on paper, is a bold abstract composition that captures the essence of his unique blend of mathematics and art.
Hailing from the town of Grecia, Durán’s background in both Fine Art and Engineering informs his distinctive approach to painting. His canvases, characterised by warm, earthy tones interspersed with bold, colourful accents, exude a palpable sense of vitality and dynamism. Drawing inspiration from Costa Rica’s rugged landscapes and tumultuous oceans, Durán skillfully weaves geometric shapes into his compositions, lending them a sense of structure amidst their organic chaos.
