Description

Juan Carlos Camacho’s watercolours reflect his fascination with art and architecture. His studies in drawing, painting and architecture at the University of Costa Rica have shaped his view of these disciplines as complementary.

Camacho uses strong contrasts of light and shadow, with dynamic backgrounds painted in fast, expressive strokes that sometimes verge on abstraction. From these backdrops, he creates intricate structures that evoke human presence and experiences.

Whether depicting homes, agricultural buildings, or weathered fences, Camacho captures Costa Rican scenes, exploring the connection between human life and landscapes.

This piece was painted around San Antonio de Belén, Heredia.

Framing not included.
