POD y POC is part of Alessandra Sequeira’s Enraizada – Donde el Miedo se Desvanece series, presented at the Calderón Guardia Museum, San José in 2026 — inks and acrylic on canvas with textile intervention, the thread here no longer a secondary element but the primary one, a dense mass of black wool radiating outward across a pale blue-grey ground. The work is mixed media textile art in Costa Rica at its most physical — a raised scar, Sequeira writes, that no longer bleeds, no longer hurts. In the depths, strength is born.
