Guided by the philosophies of colour theorists like Josef Albers, she emphasises the contextual nature of colour, rejecting its isolation in favour of a more holistic understanding.
Drawing from her lineage as the granddaughter of renowned abstract artist Lola Fernández, Guillermet’s work contains a deep sense of tradition and innovation. Her tapestries, reminiscent of the Peruvian patterns that inspired Anni Albers, employ the tufting technique with allergen-free synthetic wool, creating highly textural surfaces that can be installed on walls or laid on the floor with ease.
